Website slow

I just started building my website (http://www.getoutsidenyc.com/hvn2/) using Concrete 5 and only have five pages. Only two of those pages have any content which consists of one photo each and a little text. The website is slow with pages taking about 5 seconds to load. I use Bluehost. Here are the results from webpagetest:

I see in the forum that other people also have slow websites but the solutions all include programming, I am not a programmer and was hoping I could use Concrete fives website builder to build my own site. Are there any common reasons that websites built with Concrete 5 are slow and is there anything I can do about it if I don't know programming other than a little html?

Thanks.

Steve

Hi Steve,

This looks like either your web host or DNS provider is where the real bottleneck is. You can see this by running a speed test on your normal Wordpress site - it takes a long time for first response.

When I just ran it on your site it took over 11seconds to load.

It could be that the shared server you are on at Bluehost is overwhelmed today. Bluehost is inexpensive but sometimes with web hosting the more you spend the better service you can get.

Cheers,
Anthony
