Weirdly random guest comments

In the last week or so, I've begun to get strange, semi-relevant guest comments to my blog entries. One was simply random characters, but most were of a very generic "thank you for that information" type that contained enough odd detail to make them seem more like they were matched up based on key words rather than a human actually replying to what they read. Example:

"Hi there, just became aware of your blog thgourh Google, and found that it is really informative. I’ll be grateful if you continue this in future. A lot of people will be benefited from your writing. Cheers! "

Has anyone else seen this behavior? It has an odor of someone field-testing an automated CAPTCHA reader, but I'm not sure what to think. Could it be that the red and blue letters in the generator are too easy to filter? Thanks!

It is known that CAPTCHA is not bulletproof.

If you are experiencing these kind of problems, maybe you ought to reinforce your security in your comments service, by adding IP blacklist, by forcing session login..... Just use your imagination.
