What is a "Super user"?

Can you imagine, a web developer flaked out on me. Now I am left to complete the task on my own. I need to remove this Super User from my site built using C5 and assign another Super User. What's a boy to do? Thanks for your time. King Tom
There is 1 super user, the first user, with the user ID (uID) of 1. You cannot (and should not) change that as it could cause issues.
Thanks for the reply. There seems to be issues with the web site as it stands as I am restricted from editing some areas. Is it possible that I do not have to entire C5 program available to make edits. There were times the old developer would claim he could not make changes until he was somewhere else. Then the changes would magically appear later. This is why I suspect. I was hoping that changing the "superuser" would grant these abilities. Tom
If you are logged in and you cannot delete your account, you are the superuser. Otherwise not. There is a tool to easily take over the superuser by resetting the password. If you are on concrete5.6.

Thanks for getting back with me. I do not know what version I have here. I believe my version is incomplete as there are areas I cannot access. This leads me to believe this guy has crippled my ability to continue. I am only guessing it is the "Superuser" status, Thanks again. Tom
