What is Community Authentication in C5 profile

I can see a new link called "Community Authentication". What is that?

Have a look under Dashboard > system & settings > authentication types. Facebook is available out of the box. Not positive any further as I haven't dug very deep into 5.7 yet, but looks as though C5 may have built in FB login?!
