Is it just me or does anyone else get the feeling that this system is to good to be true and is obviously just a front so the NSA PRISM program can spy on php & front end developers that are creative and project focused.
How do I know this,
I am new to PHP and programming, I have looked at all sorts of full-blown fancy frameworks but quite frankly this CMS seems to blow them all away and I don't even think being a framework is its primary goal (although it does a damn good job of being easy to use and understand for newbies)
For instance I can easily build a brochure site in less then a day using this system, I am now working on building a simplified website builder for the common man just by changing some interface stuff around and using a free block tutorial by Remo, and I am building the equivalent of a non-profit dating site completely using Concrete5!
Between how easy it is to build blocks, how secure it is to buy blocks, how easy it is to transform html templates, don't even get me started on what you can do with single pages (mind = f*$king blown) then toss in custom templates....I mean....seriously..what the hell do a need CI or Cake (actually cake might be useful for building blocks super fast, but you know what, its so damn simple to create one anyway, it might just be redundant) and roll the whole thing up with how transparent and bone dead simple the architecture is, how simple and easy it is to hook up the libraries and helpers and not have to worry about dependency and all this other weird high brow stuff that doesn't seem to be included in my teamtreehouse and codecademy classes.
And I can do all of this even though I am new to this.....How new am I you ask, I didn't even really understand how OOP and MVC worked until last night. Know how I learned, The free block tutorial from Remo's site code.ch & a one hour training video from the brainiac that is CTO Andrew Embler. Thats it, 2 hours and I now get it.
In the end hats of to you Mr.Andrew Embler & Mr.Franz Maruna, You have built something for the rest of us, something with documentation that is not 900 pages long, more importantly and on a serious note I want to thank you, This system you guys & everyone as a community has poured you hearts and souls into has helped a new generation of people like myself, people who were always bad at math and better with a joke then an if/else statement become creators and not just consumers, you cannot put a price on that feeling it has given us, to see our visions come to life, and we owe it to the first system that we could actually wrap our Ninja turtle and Transformer beast wars minds around.

If you have any ideas for a system that will help with my spelling, grammar, punctuation and capitalization let me know. If what we currently have is top notch then it looks like i have beat the system :)
