When the web host does not have Python, removing Versions
Permalink
Does anyone have any suggestions for setting up Concrete5 on a remote server without Python so that it runs at maximum speed (after uploading it from a remote server that does have Python)?
I develop my websites locally and then upload them to the remote server when they are ready for my client's review. I show the test website on a remote server that has Python (bluehost.com). But, this client uses register.com with all current PHP and SQL, but it does not have Python. And, from my reading, that means the feature "Versions" is not possible. I'm ok with that. I don't use Versions anyway, but from my past experience when I have a C5 site on a less than desirable server it runs terribly, slow and even sometimes it doesn't work at all.
Is there a way to deactivate "Versions" or change a specific file(s) so that my C5 site runs smoothly on this shared server without Python?
