Where do you host?

My church is wanting to changes hosts for our website due to the fact that we want to use C5 and our current host is less than able to handle this (can't even enable a simple mod_rewrite) I was curious who other C5 users are using to host their sites? Any recomendations or hosts to stay away from?

I use hostmonster. It has nice programs called simple scropts and fantastico that both install and do all the configuration of the concrete site for you.

You can go directly to hostmonter.com or get to them through my link atwww.www.dalefahrneyproductions.com... and look for the hosting tab.

I've been with them over a year and had only one incident of down time and it was minimal.

They have UK and US servers and installing concrete5 is not a problem.
Yes, you get the odd downtime due to the oiks but in 5+yrs in total across 10 or so servers I have we have had a day or so and apologies for the inconvenience.
They also have a relativley social forum as well.

I'm a born-again christian and for me they have everything for Concrete5, very good price, and good support. It's the best in Canada. Take a look:

God bless you!

I use alfahosting.be Their from belgium. Very happy about them. (allow mod_rewrite)

Before that I used one.com, but their Apache rights are quite strange. So don't use that one.

I usehttp://www.hostgator.com/ here in the U.S. easy to install C5 and pricing. Did you check the Hosting Franz offers here?. I recently launched a C5 site for my Church...http://cbcadrian.org. I used Joomla previously but C5 is superior and perfect for building Church websites (or most other types for that matter). Besides, Franz, Andrew and the whole C5 gang here are good people.

Marxion - nice site. Any tips or scripts on getting a navigation like yours with the roll over? I have implemented a drop down navigation, but haven't tried that type of navigation. Is there a special name for it??

:) I will be building my church website shortly using concrete 5

I usehttp://www.justhost.com/ for our church website:

http://www.wellspringmethodist.org.uk...

unlimited data and sub domains and databases means you can have a play with stuff not on your main site. We were using supanames last year and they were rubbish.
