Hi All
New to this site, but I am just about to take over the general day to day running of this site for a charityhttp://www.fwad.org but for some reason when you look for it and click on it on google it takes so long to come up, that it sometimes times me out.
What is wrong to make it do that? I need to do a publicity drive for this charity, but there is no point if people cannot get to the home page.
Any tips most welcomed - Please note, I am not a website designer or anything like that, I'm just doing this as a favour for the charity
Thanks
Nick

Nick,
I noticed you are running 5.4.0RC1 of Concrete5. Try logging into your site and going to Dashboard > System & Maintenace > Update and update to the latest version of Concete5 (5.4.1, said to have very significant speed improvements). After that, go to Sitewide Settings and make sure your Cache is enabled.
Speed depends lots on your host as well. If you still have issues, consider switching hosts. A2 Hosting (http://a2hosting.com ) and Hostpapa (http://tracking.opienetwork.com/SH17... - affiliate link) have been really good in my experience.
Hope that helps.
