5.3.1, 5.3.2 File Manager integration?

Hey guys,
I have a block I built which uses integration with the File Manager. I borrowed and adapted the code I have from the Image block or the Video block. It works great in 5.3.3 but when I select a file in an earlier version it comes up with a blank icon after I select a file.
Does anyone know what I may be missing to provide compatibility with these versions?
