5.6.3 Release Candidate
Permalink
Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that the first release candidate of 5.6.3 is available:
http://concrete5.org/download
Just scroll passed the stable download (5.6.2.1) and you'll find it. Upgrading to it should be fine, although as always should definitely perform upgrades on a stage, rather than a live site, and take a database backup prior to updating, since this new version modifies authentication and can impact user passwords.
The full list of changes, improvements and bug fixes is here:
http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/background/version_history/5...
Please put your sites through the ringer: we hope to release 5.6.3 as soon as we can. Any bugs you find, please post them here, still:

Great! Thanks Andrew!
I was really hoping that selective control of block caching would make it into 5.6.3. Is there any chance it still could before the release candidate becomes the official release?
I have now been using 5.6.3rc all day for development work and it has been running smoothly.
