5.7: Adding inline custom styles to headings

I read on here somewhere you can't add inline custom styles to headings in Redactor.

Does anyone know how I can change this behaviour so I can add custom styles on headings?

Thanks
Dave

Hi madesimplemedia,

You can add inline styles in Redactor. In edit mode, click the button with a </> on it. You can add inline styles there. Personally, i'm not a fan of inline styles, especially for headings.

I would add them into your css. You can add them by clicking the gear icon in the upper left, click Design, click Customize under your theme image, scroll all the way down and click the button next to Custom CSS.

Or you can add an external style sheet and link it in the header.

Hope that helps

Thanks, but I don't really want customers to edit the HTML.
I wanted to keep it as simple as possible, hence I wanted to use the styles dropdown in Redactor. It works great in <p></p> text but doesn't seem to apply to headings.

You could use one of the block building addons to create a custom block with a heading and a rich text area.

That's a good idea, why not have a custom content type block, thanks John.
