Add a link to the slideshow

Hey

Has anyone tried to add links to the slideshow? I would like to use the slideshow block as a banner block - each image linking somewhere else. Is this doable with attributes perhaps?

I would rather try to mod the slideshow block than to try and build it from scratch.
