Add Page button missing (again) on 5.4.1.1

Permalink
Hi all,
frustrating, I would say.

Issue: created 2 new users, created a group 'Editors', added users to this group, set Acess permissions for this group in the File Manager and SiteMap, logon with users credentials...Edit button ok, File Manager ok, Site Map ok.... but no Add Page button at top left.

Sad! :-(

Also tried this fix (that should be included in the 5.4.1.1)

No way.
Anyone?
edit: I use advanced permissions

I thought that the solution you referred to addressed activating a page once the add page button was already selected (?)

I just added three new users to a site yesterday and the add page option button does appear on the specific pages that each user needed to edit. Have you tried advanced permissions on the User level instead of the Group to see if it makes a difference?

Thanks my friend!
Now got it and going to explain:
Sitemap->Home->(mouse click)Set Permissions->Add User/Groups->Users(Tab)->click on username->check at least "Read"

then go to Set Permissions->(menu)Currently Viewing->Sub-Page Permissions->Add User/Groups->Users(Tab)->click on username->check "Page"

Now, I would like to know, by the moment that the group at wich the user belongs to, is already in all those places and checked in all the possible checkbox permissions, what is the sense of the groups then? What?
Weird!

News:
- created a new user "editor"
- added the user to the "editors" group (like the user mentioned above)
- by luck, the "Add Page button" is there without play with permissions!

Note: the user does not have the dashboard button (which is what I want) but I would add FileManages and Sitemap buttons only. This is possible (I think) only by:
Dashboard->Sitewide Setting->Edit Preferences

But the user must not(and he does not) have access to the Dashboard!
Solution:
To solve this, I gave him temporarily the membership to "administrators" and I logged on with the user credentials, went to:
Dashboard->Sitewide Setting->Edit Preferences
and checked the "Include button for dashboard sitemap in header." and "Include button for file manager in header.".
Then I've removed the user from the Administrators group. No more dashboard. Pufff...
FEATURE REQUEST: Franz & Co. could you add those checkbox in the user management tabs??
thanks (Geeeeeeee!!!!!)
