Add paypal to registration

Hi all,
I'm a recent convert to C5 and for the first time I'm stumped and unable to answer my question through the forums.
I'm building a photography competition site where entrants to the competition will need to register and pay using paypal in order to submit their work. However there are two pay categories - the first will allow them to upload 8 photos, the second category will allow them to upload 16 photos.
The users also need to be able to log back in whenever they want and upload/delete their photos as necessary.
I understand that I can use the Advanced Forms add-on to take the paypal payment, but how do I give users who have paid different amounts the ability to upload either 8 or 16 photos?
