Add/Edit area too low

I'm not sure how to explain this. One of my websites, when you hover over an editable area, the gray shadow box is about 50px too low. My client just pointed this out, I'm not where to ever start looking.
They said it started happening a couple months ago. I haven't been in the code for over a year. They have no access to anything that they could have accidentally changed, no FTP access.
I attached an image and the environment info. I'm stumped.

Just wondering if anyone had thoughts on this.
Is this happening in all Areas or just the one? It could be a margin-top issue in the stylesheet, did they upgrade the c5 version through the Dashboard?
This is happening in all editable areas. They haven't upgraded versions. I agree it has to be a margin, but what CSS would it be in? I've adjusted my template CSS with no results.
