Adding an "Image" attribute to a Profile
Permalink
Hey All
Haven't been on for a while, my apologies.
I'm setting up a small site for an association that needs to show public profiles of user/members.
I have added some custom attributes such as a text area for adding information, address, licence details etc...
But now wondering how can I set it up so they can add a portfolio image to the profile as well? (just a single image)
I'm going to be using the add-on "enhanced user list" after I have finished the attributes etc.

Why not just use the avatar? Users can also easily update it if enabled in the dashboard.

Hi Steve
The avatar will be used to display a company logo for each member... So I also want them to have the option to add a photograph or two of their work... if that makes sense?

I see. Yes, that makes perfect sense. However, depending on your requirements - for instance, if you need each user to have their own file set (or sets) that they can manage - it might not be as straightforward as you think.
I'll be needing to do something like that myself, so I'll be curious to know what you learn.

And before you spend money for an add-on, check out C5's built-in member list. Enable public profiles via the dashboard and then visit "yoursite.com/index.php/members". EUL has some distinct advantages, but if your needs are basic, C5's built-in member list might work out fine.

There is an option in the "Page Attributes" to add an "Image/File" attribute.
As an alternate solution, you could add a "Text" attribute and save the path to the image.
I am using concrete5.6.0.2. What version are you using?
