Adding data-live-search="true" to a select input

Hi all,
Just wondering how to edit the form blocks inputs via PHP? I recall creating an array after the <?php echo $question['input']; ?> to add things like data-live-search="true" to the input code in my custom template but I can't remember how to do this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
