adding password protected pages

I would like to add a "members only" section that is password protected.
Is this an Add On ?? Or - how do I set it up ??

Assign the members to a group. Use page permissions to only allow members of that group to view the pages.

All can be done with core c5, no addons required.

However, there are addons that help automate the process of assigning grops on registration and selling membership and subscriptions to pages.
