Adding Pop-Up window feature with concrete5

I want to create a pageable list of thumb images fetched from database. When user clicks an image, a popup window should be displayed grabbing the details for that image from the database.
Can I get an example for implementing these features?

The Document Library add-on does this. It allows your users to preview a bigger image when they rollover a thumbnail and then also shows the image properties and a download link.
