I've been transferring my existing website to C5, and so far so good -- I've got the default theme and a content page type imported, and editable. The site is fairly simple; there's just a slideshow of images, and a list of projects that can be selected. I'd like to give the client the ability to add a new page, insert new images and a description of the projects, and hopefully have the system resize the image, create thumbnails generate a new page. I've been reading and researching, but what's the quickest way for me to proceed? Note that I've already created the js code for the slideshow, I just need to give the client the means to insert new images. Each new page must be under the correct category of project and have its main title/description, along with hyperlinks to other projects in that category.

I'm not trying to have anybody do my work for me, but am just hoping to have some hints as to how to proceed down this, the most difficult part of this job, to the goal of getting an editable version of the site up as quickly as possible. I'll report all the steps I've taken to gain some karma :)
