Adding to an Area from the Top

Say, if you have a whole sidebar of news and you want the newest block at the top of the area. How might this be achieved??

Or maybe within the template I could call the area by reversing the IDs???
please put this in feature requests so we stop forgetting to do something about it... Yer right, only easy way is to get the array of blocks for the area and flip em on display.
