after about 5 hrs of work this error occurred

Fatal error: Call to a member function overrideCollectionPermissions() on a non-object in /home1/protecl2/public_html/concrete/concrete/core/models/permission/assignments/area.php on line 33

site no longer opens on firefox or IE
chrome seems OK

please help

5 hrs of work, adding pages, adding graphics, editing text, adding guestbook...
building a site

while editing from chrome did not see error till finished and tested on IE and Firefox,
then went back to chrome where worked at first then failed (possibly just cached).
Cant say which change triggered the problem.

addition: chrome does not work either
