After installing markdown add-on it no longer appears when searched for...intentional or not?

I have no clue where to report "bugs" for packages or even whether this is a bug so I thought I would ask here first.
After searching for and installing the markdown package (add-on) through the marketplace interface available through the Dashboard the markdown package is no longer visible when searching for it again by name (i.e. "markdown").
If I uninstall the markdown package and delete the directory in which it is installed it becomes visible again through a search.
With other packages this does not happen. In other words I install the package and then search for it such that it still shows up in the search results returned.
Not a huge deal but this may point to some kind of corruption in the search mechanism used or it's index.
