AJAX loading content into the index... how with C5?

Cleverly or stupidly I decided to buy a theme off themeforest for my portfolio... I need something up quick and I thought this would be the best way...
With my limited knowledge of PHP, I thought it would be simple enough to convert the flat HTML into a C5 theme... not so easy when I realised that the portfolio section was ajax loaded into the the index.html.
I have been thinking of a way to add a new portfolio piece (as a new page) and then pull in that content into the index but I am a little flummoxed...
I have added the HTML files here... I think themeforest may shoot me for this... have a look and let me know what you think could be the easiest way.
