I'm currently doing some work with Concrete5 and need to implement SSO with Atlassian's Jira bug reporting tool, so naturally the most straightforward solution seems to be using their Crowd user management system as well.

Has anyone here looked into building a Crowd SSO plugin previously? I know that Crowd provides an LDAP hookup and that there is an LDAP plugin for C5, however I'd prefer not to add the overhead of setting up LDAP and just go directly between C5 and Crowd if at all possible.
