Amazon hot link does not appear
Permalink
I've built a site for affiliate marketing - Amazon gave me the html. I built an html block with the Amazon code. It shows up properly on my computer. My friend does not see it on hers. I've refreshed, she has refreshed her cache. Other changes on the page show up on her computer, but the Amazon hot link does not.
"Are there any permissions set on the block that are affecting who can see it? (more here:http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/using-concrete5/dashboard/sy...
Are you both using the same web browser?
Can you provide a URL for others to see?"

**The edit box does not offer the option of setting permissions on the html block (See screen capture attached. Settings for the Page are shown and also the popup for available edit choices in the block.) I would assume, however, that the default would be the Page permissions. Skin is Greek Yogurt.
**I'm using XP Pro. She is using Chrome.
**The URL is http://www.bottlelesswatercooler.net/concrete5/index.php/comparison... I am not able to see the site without it showing up in the Concrete5 CMA.

Ok - well, I see the Amazon content fine on your page in every browser I have checked in (Firefox/Chrome/Safari/Opera - not in IE as yet), so I think that your page is working correctly.
It sounds to me like it is just an issue on her computer. The Amazon code uses an iframe, so it is possible that your friend has iframes or adverts blocked? I'd advise her to double check this first, and maybe you could find a different machine to check on too?
Hope that's helpful.

Wonderful. Thanks so much for checking on all of the browsers.
Now, the question is, if that link is blocked on her computer, and she is not very computer literate so I know she did purposefully set a block, on what percentage of other computers is it blocked. That will be the major monetizing process for the site and I don't want to eliminate any possible income from the site.

I'm afraid I have no way of telling this. I would expect that the majority of people will see the iframe content just fine. If it is very important, it might be something that you wish to contact Amazon with directly to see if they can suggest an alternative.
