"Contact Us" button as a PM link?

I'd like the members of the site I'm building to be able to contact me through PM, rather than e-mail, and I'd like to make it as easy as possible (meaning without making them go to my profile to the "send PM" link). Is is possible to set up a simple link (with or without a button) to go directly to a PM dialogue box directed to a given member?
Be advised that, like a great many other users of this outstanding CMS, I am not code-savvy, though I am learning slowly.
Edit: All of my members will be required to register, though I'd rather they not have to provide an e-mail address, and I have the Discussion Forums add-on installed and enabled. User profiles will obviously be supported also.

Thanks! That seems to be pretty close, but it takes the user to their own profile page?
I set up a dummy user with the same basic access that a standard registered user will have and when I click the link it just goes to the profile page.
In fact, it seems be truncating the URL. It leads tohttp://yoursite.com/index.php/profile/...

I got it. I was inserting the username in question in place of the "1" at the end of the string. Thanks very much!!!
where the one add the end is your user id, if you are super admin that should be it
