Any RapidWeaver users out there?

I'm new to C5. RW has been great over the years, but I turn down larger opportunities due to RW limitations. C5 has been recommended numerous times as the way to go. I see an ocean of themes and plugins. I know all too well from my RW experience, most of the themes and plugins end up being a time and money suck. I have a tone from RW that I never use. I will say the only theme I use in RW is Foundation by JW, which comes with many of it's own plugins and support many 3rd party stacks. I prefer a blank theme that I can fully manipulate and that comes with it's own set of stacks from a rock star developer within the community. If you were going to teach me how to fish, what are your recommendation based on what you've read above.

Thanks

Hello,
You can take any blank html/css theme and adapt it to use in C5 in a matter of minutes so that shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for your reply. What are some of the more popular blank themes you are referring to? I see a tone of themes and I'm just trying to find the needle in the haystack based on user recommendations. I really don't want a cookie cutter theme like I see in the theme stores and the sample I played around with. I just want a blank theme without limitations and without having to do any coding.

Thanks

Since your question is in the form of an analogy...

Trying to "compare an apple to an orange" doesn't even seem adequate to me to what you're trying to compare. It feels more like you're trying to compare a toolbox to a construction company.

RW is a program that runs on a Mac only to help code websites. Concrete5 is a PHP framework and CMS that websites and now even more data driven applications are built with.

Thanks for the reply. I've been using RW for years, but as you mentioned, C5 will allow me to do so much more and offer bigger project opportunities. That's why I'm asking the community to help me sift through this needle in a haystack for recommendations of a popular blank theme. I played around with one of the themes, which was pretty cookie cutter and difficult to manipulate without knowing how to manipulate code. I don't think C5's theme page allows me to search through the options for a popular blank theme. In essence, I'm looking for the last theme I'll ever need from a reputable developer that supports their theme with updates and community involvement.

Frankly, the "haystack" isn't that big. There simply are not that many themes available for version 7+ (as of now anyway). And I don't think what you're describing exists. My friendly suggestion is you get prepared to invest a little more time to learn a bit about Concrete5 (as well as researching the available themes, use the rating system and comments!)

Will do. What's your favorite theme?
