Anyone know of an automated, designer-friendly webserver backup service?
Hi There,
I'm looking for a way to backup our webservers (in addition to the backups performed by our host).
I'm currently running an automated MySQL dump of databases into a folder on the server, then manually using rsync to copy the database backups and website files onto our Mac OSX server each day.
Does anyone know of a service (could be an application, could be a web-based service) that would:
- Create automated daily backups of mysql databases and website files
- Allow for an easy restore of a site to a certain day
- More than happy to pay
Any help or suggestion would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Ben

I am not sure to where to you want to backup your website data.
If you want to backup your data to a online backup server or local offsite backup server or an external disk drive, then you can use StoreGrid application. It's UI is web based and you can configure backups/restores through it's web console.
StoreGrid supports all your requirements such as, scheduled automatic backup, MySQL backup, point in time restores. If you wish, you can backup your data to external disk drive with free of cost for lifetime.
You can also backup your data to it's hosted online backup server in Amazon cloud with very minimal cost.
You can get more details on this fromhttp://www.vembu.com website.
