Auto nav with collapsible function

Hello all,
Is it possible click on a link in auto nav to reveal a collapsible panel?
I've seen the expand-collapse add on in the market place, but I don't really want a separate link.
The example I quite like uses javascript and can be found here:

Any advice would be appreciated!

I do use the add on and its VERY functional, although I havent gotten around to using a lot of the features yet. It has the ability to add html/stacks to menu items...
