AutoNav to display subpaged + parent page?

My Main menu looks like this:

Home
Item 1
---Sub 1
---Sub 2
---Sub 3
Item 2
Item 3

I want so that when I'm on the page for Item 1 and any sub page, that the autonav in my sidebar displays this:

Item 1
---Sub 1
---Sub 2
---Sub 3

I can't get it to display the JUST the parent item for the sub pages without displaying all top level items.

Can someone help me with this?
