Back button in browser not working correctly on certain pages

I'm using the Galleria addon for a site I've developed but the client has noticed that when they select their browser back button that the page doesn't go back correctly.

I have a link, is there any chance I could get someone to take a look please.

No matter what browser is used the result is the same on the pages that use the galleria addon. It just seems to stay on the same page and not display the fileset images instead of going back.

Any help would be gratefully received.

It seems that it's only after you click on the images. This line:

history : true, // activates the history object for bookmarking, back-button etc

In the javascript config for the gallery seems to be trying to keep track of the images you've browsed to, so that it is trying to display the prev image, instead of the prev page. I think it needs the jquery history plugin, but it doesn't appear that is working.

Changing it to false should fix your issue, though.

Thanks hutman, that appears to have done the trick.

out of curiosity - is it just my pc or is the web site a little slow on your computer too? I've set the cache settings so that it caches all pages to help speed up the site but it still appears to be dragging terribly.

Thanks again for your help, much appreciated.

Yeah, really pretty slow.

You have a couple of 404s that I can see in the inspector, those slow things down a bit, there are a few seconds there.

The Galleria Gallery plugin that you are using also does not do image resampling. You might want to adjust the template to use the image helper so that you aren't linking to the full-res images. The total download for the 'birds' page was actually 8.2mb. That's pretty huge, even with a fat pipe.

Thanks hutma,

will try and reduce image file size, not too sure how the resampler works though.

The bottom of that shows how to use the helper. It leaves out that there is a fourth parameter you can pass in to choose if you crop or not.

Most of the other gallery add ons in the marketplace _do_ resize, but not all.

if your pc is slow it would because of a lot of temp file and unwanted files from your web browser you should try the krojam cleaner for the purpose of cleaning them ...
