Best Practice for third-party scripts

What's the best practice for integrating a third-party script with C5? Should it just be used "as-is" or is it better to convert it to some type of C5 add-on/extension format?

Depends on type of script.

You do not need to call normal 'jquery'.

Just be careful of 'conflict'.
