Block not updating in footer on published page version 5.7
Permalink
Hi,
I am using version 5.7.5.3 of C5 and the Sidebar theme. I am having a problem with the global footer not updating. I have cleared the cache, have all the cache settings off (for developing), and have made certain that the page is indeed published. There is a certain block I have deleted (a Google Map) from the demo content in the global area. While logged in as admin, the page looks as it should, without the Google map block, but when on the published site (not logged in) the block is still displaying. I know that it's published properly because other blocks on the page have been updated afterward and are displaying as they should. Any suggestions on how to get this block to actually delete on the published site?
Thanks for your help!

It sounds like your changes to the Global Area might not be 'approved'. I'm not sure if this is your situation but if you have added a block to a Global Area through the 'Dashboard->Stacks and Blocks->View Stacks->View Global Areas' then sometimes the 'Approve Changes' button doesn't show up. Try going in through the dashboard and editing the existing content of the Global Area and see if the 'Approve Changes' button shows up for you to press.
Thank you! Once I went through the side dashboard and found the global areas through the other route: dashboard > stacks & blocks > view stacks (drop down menu) > view global areas, I was able to approve the changes. I didn't realize I could check it through that manner.
Cheers!
