Blocks from clipboard don't update if I change the original block
Permalink
Hi dear community,
on my latest project I have the problem that blocks from the clipboard don't update if I change the original block.
What I do:
I create a block on a page and copy it to the clipboard. (I approve the page)
On a second page, I add the block from the clipboard (The dotted lines are not fully red but seem a little transparent -> shows that the block has a link to another block). I also approve this site.
If I now go back to the first page and edit the original block, the block on the second page does not get the update. For me, this was always how it worked and in this certain installation it does not work.
I checked the table "BlockTypes" and every block has the value zero at "btCopyWhenPropagate". So this should not be the problem.
Thanks for your help.

This is not possible that I'm aware of. One simple way to accomplish this would be to create a Stack from Dashboard > Stacks to contain the information required and then place this stack on every page where you need it(and in page type defaults for every newly created page in the future). Then, when you need to make a change, simply edit the stack and changes will render globally!!
Thank you for your fast response.
Yes through a stack it is possible to achieve that. Thanks for pointing it out.
But currently I have to use the described to achieve what I want. Stacks are sadly no option for me.
The curious thing is, that the way I want it to do, works on other installations of concrete5 with no problem. Was the behavior of it changed in any release of c5?
