Blog Date Archive Block? What Does it Do?
Permalink 1 user found helpful
I accidentially installed the default content with a new C5 install and I saw that it created a new block called the Blog Date Archive.
How does this work? What's it supposed to do?
I tried adding it to a page, but it through an error on Line 6 of the view.php file.

If you install sample content, you do get the Blog Date Archive block available, and if you don't, it does not show up. The Date navigator appears in both. I don't know why this is the case or what I need to do to get the blog date archive block to appear.
Have you been able to figure that out?

You can copy date_archive from /concrete/blocks to /blocks, then install it
I just also came across this block.
Weird that it is not installed by default for both, empty site and sample content. Why is that?
Also would be cool if you could define the page type which is searched in the archive.

If you install sample content to get the Date Archive Block, and Date Navigation if you don't. What's the difference?
