Blog like box - Page List
Permalink
I don't know if this is possible in Concrete5 but I would really like to try rather than redoing the site for Wordpress.
I need a blog like box - title, date, content - where the title and date would appear in a page list in the footer of the site. When adding a new "blog", I need the old blog to "archive" - still viewable from the page list - and be totally replaced by the new entry.
I was thinking of using the simple blog from Jordanlev in c5cookbook.com but I can't figure out how to get the replacement thing going or how to link that to a page list.
Can someone help?

The blog functionality I outlined on c5cookbook.com was rolled into the C5 core system last year. If you set up a new site using the latest version of Concrete5 (v5.4.1.1) and check the "install sample content" box on the installation page, you will see there's a "Blog" page with a couple of sample posts to show you how it works.
If this is a site that has already been built and you didn't install the sample content, or you upgraded from an older version of C5, you can set up the blog manually by following the steps in this how-to:
http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/editors/manually-set...
Hope that helps!
