Blog with the latest post different style than the others

Hi! I'm creating a Blog from a .psd file and the blog section have the latest post highlighted. How I can achive that in Concrete 5? My idea was to create 2 Page List blocks, in the first one it will show me just the latest post, but I don't know how to make the second Page List block to skip showing me the first post. Any ideas?

Target the element as first-child.

Example:
ul.blogthumb li:first-child {background: aqua}

I'm using bootstrap. It's there a way that the first post will get a class of "col-lg-12", and from the second one it will get the class "col-lg-6" ?
