Blog?

I created a page for my blog on Concrete5, but whenever I write in Composer, it just writes a new page! Can someone help here? I just want it to write a message, not a new page...

Thats how it works. Each article is a new page. This is a great way to manage the content.

On your main blog page, you would want to use the 'Page List' add-on to show all your articles in a nice list.

If you want to just add some content to the one page, then the best option is to add a 'Content' block. However, if you find yourself writing a lot of blog articles and having them all on one page, you may end up with a very long page and this may start to look messy after a while.

If you didn't include the sample content when creating your site, you may want to check out this tutorial on setting up the basic blog- http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/editors/manually-set...

Best wishes,

Thanks for the answer! And you're right, it does look less messy when it's separate pages.

I agree, i wrote a package for a company i work part-time for (though its more or less full time now) that brings the blog into the database and the admin and view capabilities are still all inside concrete5.

They are using it on sites where they have over 2500 posts they needed to migrate over, and they totally got rid of their wordpress installations.
