breadcrumbs for pages that are excluded from nav

Hello,
Is it possible to show breadcrumbs for pages that are excluded from the auto nav?

We have some links in our footer on every page and when the user goes to these pages, we would like to show the breadcrumb navigation. Is it possible, in any way; code or otherwise, to make this happen?

Are you using the "Breadcrumb" view template? (Click the block when the page is in edit mode and choose "Custom Template" from the popup menu.)
