Bug: avatar uploads extension can only be lowecase

Hi,
When I am trying to upload an avatar using the Flash applet, the file selector only shows images with a lowercase extension. Since most of my images are called .JPG, I don't see them and have to rename them before using them.
C5 5.4.0.3
Client is on Linux with FF3.6.3
I have already tried adding .JPG to the allowed extensions, but it seems this is not taken into account on the avatar upload.
