Just getting started with concrete5 though I have some experience with other CMSs.
I'd like to build a home page that has an events calendar & list on one side and a forum on the other side. To get started I've installed the basic free events block on the left of the page and tried to install the basic forum block on the right. Neither works as I expected.
The events block said to set up a page and put one instance of the block there with the "list" and put another instance on the home page with the property "calendar". Somehow the two are supposed to be coordinated. However, having done this I don't see how one adds events to the calendar or how added events are displayed. Is there any documentation of this block anywhere that explains how to make it work?

I've tried to install the basic forum block on the home page, but it just doesn't want to end up there. The best I can do is get a form for entering forum posts while the system sets up another page elsewhere that shows the forum posts. How can I get the forum posts to show up on the home page? If there is any documentation of this block/feature I'd greatly appreciate a referral.
