Bulk Import of Files

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Dear friendly forum members,

I have made a similar post in another forum, but I feel this post is more appropriate here.

Does anyone have an efficient way of bulk importing files (images, pdfs, etc.) into c5?

Thank you for your time,

Chi

If it hasnt already been created, create a folder called "incoming" within your /files/ directory. Make sure that the folder also has write permissions. Once the folder is created, you can ftp any files you want from your local computer to your c5 setup. (So the folder to upload to should be /files/incoming/).

Once you have uploaded the files, go into the c5 dashboard, into the file manager. In the top right corner, next to the file upload form, you will see a link for "More". Clicking that and then the "Add Incoming" tab will let you bring those FTP'd files into the file manager.

That's definitely the best way. But the "more" link also houses a bulk upload tool that will let you upload files from your local machine as well (and multiple ones at the same time.) You can also grab multiple files from public URLs.
