Button class won't appear in styles menu (other styles work fine) how do others accomplish this?

Hi There,

I have a number of classes in typography.css that appear in the styles drop down menu but I can't seem to get a button class to work.

Also, the class needs to be applied to the 'a' tag and my class is written 
a.button {}


I've also tried just .button but it still won't show up - is there something special I'm missing here?

Any help would be much appreciated.
