calendar block functionality

looking to port over this site to concrete 5:http://yourblackstone.org

however, i'm a bit concerned with the calendar. not sure if i will be able to duplicate the functionality with the calendar block.

if you look at the site, the left side bar always contains the full calendar with a event list below. when clicking one of the dates in the full calendar it updates that event list below. if you click an item in that event list, it goes to a new page that displays all the events for that specific day along with more details.

Sure, could be done. You could add a single page into the dashboard for administrators to add events into your own table in the db, have another single page to display the event details and a block to replicate the left hand bar functionality.

If you're reasonably competent with php, you should have no big problems. Gimme a shout if you get stuck...

you'll have to do some css formatting and work in page types, but the calendar add-on should give you all the tools you need to pull this off.
