Can concrete something for my site

Hello,

I want to convert my site (http://www.tamarawobben.nl) to another cms.
This because I need to have different number of articles on different pages.
On my site currently on textpattern this is workimng but the site is now unstable.
Adding another category makes the site a mess.

What I mean with different number of articles on a page you can see it when you choose this url :http://www.tamarawobben.nl/?c=1e-levensjaar&month=2005-09...
I need there some 8 pages with 1 article a page and the rest of the pages can be 2 articles.

Now Im wondering if Concrete can do the job ?

I am having trouble fully understanding what you are asking for in the link I can only see one article on a page,

But I am certain that Concrete5 will do what you want,

There is a block called the Page List, that will list pages under a certain page,

You could have as many articles on a page as you would like with pagination.

Oke,

Correct that you only see one article on that page.
If you then goto this page :http://www.tamarawobben.nl/?month=2005-09&pg=12...
you will see that I then have 2 articles on that page.

This could be achieved using Concrete5's core blog. Then using the page list block - set the results to 2 and apply the "blog" custom template. This would give you two results per page and feed the whole 'post'.

Oke,

But that's not what I ment.
What I want to achieve it that on one page there will be 2 articles a page and on another page 3 articles a page.

I think we need to look at how you want to define an article.

What I mean.

Is an article going to have its own page?

What we are suggesting is to use the blog to create a page list which you could then display the pages (articles) you could have a page list on one page with 2 pages(articles) and one page with three articles

You could use Page Types to achieve this.

What I think you are after (and let me know if I am wrong?) is that a page can have multiple articles on each page.

If this is the case you can use the default content block with a custom template to display the date it was posted then you can have as many or as few on the page.

You could also create a custom block, (Designer Content - will allow you to do this easily) to add in a custom date.

I think for me I don't fully understand the reason for multiple articles on a page.

Is it due to the background image being used on the page? I notice all pages are roughly the same length, and the ones with multiple articles are all small articles

Hello

Yes a page can have more then 1 article on a page.
I do this because I have as you said some small articles and some big articles and I don't like that a reader sees a big article and after that a very small article.

The layout is not a problem. I'm going to use another theme.
