Can you manage old permissions somehow?

Hi, folks. This post is related to this other post in this forum:
I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to directly manage the permissions pictured in the attachement. These are the old 5.4.2.2 file manager permissions.
I think our newly-updated system (5.6.0.2) is experiencing some sort of conflict between the new permissions structure and these, specifically the permissions that govern viewing "My files" vs "All files".
Anybody have any thoughts to offer? Can i manage these somewhere in the database directly?
