Can't delete page type

Hi,

I can't delete a page type. When I choose delete, I confirm with the popup and am brought back to the page type list. There is no error or confirmation message. The page type I deleted remains.

Is there another way to delete page types? I have a number of them that are no longer needed.

Hi

You can't delete page types so long one page have this type.
Maybe you have pages with this page type in your trash folder.

Go to Full Sitemap --> Options --> Show System Pages --> Trash --> Empty Trash

I've tried emptying the trash (it contains 127 items) and that slows the site to a crawl.

Is there a way to globally change page types? That would be an easier solution.

Globally change page types:
Dashboard / Sitemap / Page Search
But it dosen't works for trashed pages :-(.

Other Idees for your Problem:
- Run the "Automated Jobs" --> Remove Old Page Versions, after that you may delete your page type
- Delete your Trash-Pages directly in your mysql-database
