Can't see Trash can in sitemap

I can't see a trash can when I go into Site Map > Show System Pages

All I can see is Dashboard, Stacks and Drafts at the base of the page

BTW - I took over from another admin and have given myself admin and super user rights, but how do I know I've logged in as either/both of those?

Hello,
the super user always has the name "admin" and if you look at its detail in the user list, its ID should be 1

by default only the super user can see the trash can but you can change that by setting custom permissions

Thanks. I find this aspect of Concrete5 to be a bit of a mess. I have admin and super user ticked in my account, but I have no idea what I am logged in as or how to log in as super user for example. Where would I see 'ID 1'?

When I look at Groups it says "You must be logged in as admin to remove groups" does this mean I'm not logged in as admin?

Do you not have access to the actual "admin" account? You say you have "admin" and "super user" checked... I am not aware of any option to check super user on a user account unless the group was previously made by the super user. If you simply cant access the admin account and you have ftp access, do a google search for "c5 lockpick"...

This is the User view of my account.

So do I just treat it like I've lost my password (or whatever the hack is) and it will then log me in with the full rights?

Yup, you're definately not a super user! Just follow the directions and you will get into the admin account...

I finally sorted this out and here's the info for anyone else reading this thread.

I took over this C5 account and hadn't set up the user accounts, so was unfamiliar with the environment. So in Dashboard > Members > Search Users look for the 'admin' account entry. If you can't edit that account you are not logged in as Admin. It also states "You may not remove the super user account" so this confirms admin is the super user account.

Next, see what email address that account is using. If you have access to that email account simply log out, go to the login page and in the 'Forgot my password" field enter that email address. Access that email account and click the reset link etc.

Log in using the Admin email address and new password. This worked for me. (My editor user account states I have superuser access but patently that is not so. When I logged in as admin the Trash can appeared.

If you are using the lockpick method mentioned above (I guess because you don't have access to the email account or other issue), in the github page look at the top right of the page for the zip download, upload the lockpick file as per instructions but use its exact filename in the the URL (the instructions quote an old filename). Unfortunately it didn't work for me, but try your luck.
