Hi nicetunz!

Welcome to Concrete5, it is a fantastic CMS, very powerful and versatile, but not completely flawless.

The best thing to do is to check out the Docs area (https://www.concrete5.org/documentation/developers/5.7/), there is masses of information on there. Another great option is to check out the Concrete5 YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCywmkk3TWHLcYyKafNDFCUA), they have some brilliant video tutorials.

There is also this Forum, I have had many a query and problem resolved by fellow C5 developers and the core team.

I hope this has been useful!

Good luck

Hi,

Thanks for the info but I actually need to know what to do once concrete5 is installed.
Where do I go to start creating/editing a site? Do I need to log in to an admin area? ect, ect.

I have been watching several youtube vides but they have all been showing how to edit the default template and I have not figured out how to get to that step.

Thanks again.

So, it sounds like you have successfully installed concrete5 and can reach/view the sample content (assuming you chose to have sample content installed)?

If you installed 5.7, the sample content is from the Elemental theme, and there should be a login link at the bottom right of the home page. After successfully logging in, you will see a menu bar with links to the dashboard, editing mode, etc.

Hello,

Login to your admin panel and try to add new page and change content of the pages.
You can check the following link

Thanks, finally figured what i was doing wrong as far as logging in. Now comes the learning curve...building new sites and converting regular html sites to concrete5 sites.

Should I be able to find themes within concrete5 or do I need to go outside?
